Bradbury's story "The Pedestrian" deals with government invention in the lives of American Citizens.  Do you feel the government has too many rights or too few rights?  Should the government be allowed to stop people on the street because they think they "look guilty"?  Should they be able to detain citizens if they "think" they have committed a crime?  How do you feel Bradbury felt about those issues?

Was there ever a time when you were singled out because of the clothes you wore or because of the people you were with?   Do you feel that the police or other organization sometimes overstep their bounds.  How do you feel the government should deal with terrorists?  How should they deal with people that they suspect are terrorists?  What guidelines do you think the government should use to determine what "terrorists" are?
