In the Frost poem "Stopping by Woods on a Snowy Evening", the poet is ambivalent. He wants to sit in this peaceful place and watch it snow, but he has to continue on with his work. Discuss a time when you were ambivalent about something. How did you resolve your ambivalence?

If you wrote the poem, why would you say that the person doesn’t have the time to "watch (the) woods fill up with snow"? Did he plan badly? Did someone quit, leaving him to do all of their work? Is it because business is bad and he can’t afford to hire anyone else?

Do you feel that maybe the poet didn't even realize that his life was unhappy until now, until he stopped to watch the woods fill up with snow?  It is possible that the poet experienced an awakening because of his experience in the field?  What was his life like before that day?
